Donavon Frankenreiter made a surprise appearance performing “Swing On Down” and “Free” at the Toyota Tent on Saturday August, 14 2010 at the Mile High Music Festival. Matt Grundy and legendary rocker John Oates joined Donavon on stage for the surprise two song set. Shortly into their set, Cypress Hill’s set began on a nearby stage creating quite a challenge for the acoustic trio. The boys played through the distraction and treated the small audience to a memorable performance. Donavon jokingly referred to the performance as the remix version with Cypress Hill. Don’t expect the remix to appear on Donavon’s next album.
